Debbie Grimes is a North Carolina licensed acupuncturist. She is board certified in Oriental Medicine (a dual certification in both Acupuncture and Chinese Herbology) by the National Certification Commission of Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine, and for seven years she was on the Board of the North Carolina Association of Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine.  Her Acupuncture HealthWorks office is a beautifully appointed, professional acupuncture clinic conveniently located in the Chapel Hill portion of North Chatham County.

About Debbie pic 1Before practicing in North Carolina, Debbie had a private practice in East Hampton, New York. During that time she was on the Board of the Guild of Wholistic Practitioners, an organization that ran and staffed monthly free clinics in Sag Harbor. She holds a Bachelors of Science in Human Development from S.U.N.Y. Empire and a Masters of Science in Oriental Medicine from the New York College of Health Professions. Her didactic and clinical training includes more than 3000 hours in acupuncture philosophy, technique and herbal medicine along with Western medical theory and assessment. Additionally, among many other post-graduate courses, in 2001 Debbie studied Chinese Medicine at the Guangzhou University of Traditional Chinese Medicine in China, in 2003 she attended a year-long post graduate course in Japanese Medicine in New York and in 2005 studied Acupuncture for the Cancer Patient at the Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center, also in New York.

Debbie is the proud wife of her husband, an avid fisherman and all around talented guy. Together they have two terrific children and two precious granddaughters.
